Futuro (LALDEF)

Futuro is a cohort-based, college prep program for first and second-generation immigrants. Students learn life skills to help them pursue and excel in postsecondary education. The program begins in the summer after a participant’s sophomore year and meets weekly until they graduate from high school. Participants also meet two Saturdays a month for workshops.

It includes mentoring and tutoring, ACT/SAT prep, college application/financial aid support, resume and financial literacy development, cultural activities, volunteering, and life-skills workshops. Students receive a laptop upon graduation from high school.

Futuro is a program by LALDEF.
