CAP is a college access program that targets high school sophomores and juniors, supporting them in getting accepted to college and understanding financial aid. It meets weekly for 36 weeks and involves classes, workshops, and trips.
It includes test prep, help finding schools to apply to, completing college applications/essays, getting recommendation letters and transcripts, filing the FAFSA, applying for financial aid/scholarships, and access to volunteerships/jobs. Students receive up to a $1000-2000 scholarship upon completion, contingent on certain criteria and class year.
CAP is a program by the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County.

Eligibility
- Dedication to attending college
- Accepted students must attend 30 out of 36 weekly meetings (Tuesdays 4-6 pm) and must remain in the program through graduation
- Must be a Mercer County resident
- Must be a sophomore or junior in the coming school year
