Bridge to Employment (BTE) is an academic support program for Trenton Central High school students in partnership with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, the TCNJ Bonner Institute, and Trenton Central High. The program emphasizes high school graduation and pursuit of postsecondary pathways, especially in the health and science sectors. The program runs for two years, starting in participants’ sophomore year. 

It involves tutoring, career exploration, SAT test prep, college application support, financial aid information, college tours, monthly cultural field trips, science labs and projects, career mentorship, and workplace skill workshops. Students meet weekly with TCNJ Bonner scholars and monthly with Janssen Pharmaceuticals employees.
